G-Tech Football Academy and Besiktas FC sign groundbreaking partnership to develop and shape the future of football in The Gambia.
The head coach of Besiktas U 19 team is Ahmet Calisir who is also the founder and CEO of Cartal Sports Club based in Esenyurt, Istanbul is committed to an exclusive technical partnership that will see world-renowned G-Tech Football Academy work hand-in-hand with the Turkish giants to raise the quality of youth football in The Gambia and hopefully source talented young footballers who can benefit from the experience of training with the two clubs in Turkey.
The long-term partnership will start immediately with Turkish coaches expected to arrive in Gambia in January 2019.
As part of the agreement, Besiktas FC will send coaches, talent scouts and analysts to Gambia to help develop existing footballing infrastructure and talent. Their joint aim is to promote best practice in training, development and scouting for the club’s teams and help to develop the already well established G-Tech Football Academy Search For A Soccer Star program.
G-Tech Football Academy and Besiktas FC are also happy to announce that chosen youth football players will be invited to take part in the ‘G-Tech Training Initiative’,
The initiative will give young Gambian footballers the exposure to international leading coaches and the opportunity to train at the same level as top international football clubs thus accelerating their development and that of Gambian football.
The partnership will also see G-Tech Football Academy and Besiktas FC work together to shape the academy’s football structure to optimise daily operations and build a domestic and west African football network that promotes opportunities within the world of football.
As part of this, the two organisations will implement a knowledge transfer system, giving Besiktas FC access to the Academy’s football methodologies, planning and data analytics capabilities. Both organisations hope the partnership will produce a leading number of players for Gambia’s national teams in the very near future.
